Geography review doesn't have to mean just another worksheet. This 3D flip book craft gives students a hands-on way to review the continents!

It's designed for 3rd through 6th grade and includes a base page, front and back maps, seven continent/review pages, and an answer key, so there's very little prep required.

How do I use it??

1. Set up Hand out the base page and continent pieces along with scissors and glue. Because it's low-prep, this is a great option for a day when you're short on planning time or a sub day.

2. Prepare the pages Students follow the directions on the pages. They start by filling in the missing blanks on the review side of the page and coloring in the map. Then they cut out each page of the flip book.

3. Assemble the flip book/craft Students will then get to put the book together. They start by folding the continent pieces in half (they are labeled). Then they begin to glue the pieces together. There are letters written on the pages that show students where to glue each piece. ⬇️

4. Wrap up Once flip books are complete, have a few students share their favorite continent page, or pair students up to quiz each other using their own flip books.

Why It Works

  • Low-prep, high-value. This activity is low prep for you, and meaningful review for your students.

  • It is a craft, not just a worksheet. Kids are more invested in something they built and can take home, so when you can swap a worksheet out for something like this, do it!!

  • Flexible timing. You can complete this in one class period of break it apart into several sessions

I hope this helps you when preparing to use this in your classroom! It is a sweet activity and low prep, which makes it ideal for busy teachers like you!

Happy Teaching!!

Alyssa
