200 pieces sounds a little scary, so I am going to break this activity down for you. I am telling you, by the time you are done with this read you will want to do this with you class, grade level, or maybe even your school!
Let's dive in!
First, what am I talking about? See the picture of the HUGE bulletin board? That is it! It is made up of 200 pieces. On each piece there are 25 little squares. On each little square there is a letter that represents a color. Now there are two ways students can discover the color to letter key. The first way is by simply looking at a code! The second way is by solving questions (you are able to put your own questions in), finding the matching answer, and discovering the key!

Now how can you use this activity in your school? There are multiple ways that you can use it!
Use it with your whole grade level. Are you all reviewing the same topic in math? Then use this as a whole grade level math review. Enter in your own math questions and answers, have your students solve them, and then they can all color a piece (or multiple pieces) of the collaborative coloring!
School wide activity. Do you need a way to build a sense of community within your school. Then use this! Distribute the 200 pieces to your school and give them either the coloring code key or the coloring code worksheet. Then together you can create a big display for your school!
Do a big project with your class! Due to the size, it will take time, but if you are looking for a way to create a community in your class use this!
Now that you know how to use it, I know you want it, so grab it HERE!
This is a 1 of a kind activity that you can do with your class! Your students, your school, or your grade level will LOVE it!
Happy Teaching!
